ANAHEIM, Calif.–“Mickey’s Soundsational Parade,” which combines generations of Disney characters from the first, Mickey Mouse, to the most recent, Rapunzel, with music, debuts today at Disneyland.

The daily parade between Main Street U.S.A. and the “It’s a Small World” ride in Fantasyland consists of nine new floats, each designed in the style of a children’s “pop-up” story book. The parade units are accompanied by drumlines, percussion teams, Jazz horns and other musical elements.

The parade begins with a unit including such classic Disney characters as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Chip ‘N’ Dale and Goofy.

Other units feature characters from “Aladdin,” “The Little Mermaid,” Donald Duck and his friends Jose and Panchito from the 1944 film “The Three Caballeros,” Rapunzel and the Disney princesses Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White, “The Lion King,” Princess Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog,” and Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Tinker Bell.

The parade concludes with a unit with Mary Poppins and her friend Bert riding astride two carousel horses, a moving musical carousel and a rooftop unit meant to suggest the rooftops of London. The parade ends with 11 chimney sweeps performing a high-energy broom dance.
