LOS ANGELES, Calif.–Los Angeles police sought the public’s help to identify three men caught on surveillance tape robbing a South Los Angeles liquor store the day after Christmas.

About 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, three men entered a liquor store in the 6000 block of South Avalon Boulevard, where they found two employees working. Two of the men were allegedly armed with semi-automatic handguns, according to Los Angeles police.

One of the suspects chased an employee to the back of the store, where the employee was able to lock himself in a room. The other two suspects demanded money from the register, and the second employee complied with those demands. The money and merchandise from the store were placed in a bag.

The three men got away in a grey four-door compact car, which was driven by a fourth suspect, police said.

Detectives believe the trio may have committed several other robberies in the area.

All three robbers are described as African American men in their early 20s.

One suspect is further described as about 6 feet tall and 260 pounds.

The second suspect also is about 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. The third suspect is about 5 feet 8 inches and weighs 160 pounds. There was no description available for the driver of the getaway car.

Anyone with information on the case was asked to contact Newton division detectives Chris Marsden or Guillermo Medina at (323) 846-6572.
