Soul and R & B singer, and Broadway star Stephanie Mills will bring in the New Year as the headline performer at the Rhythm on the Vine “Rhythm & Rio Concert,” which benefits the Shriners Hospitals for Children New Years weekend.
Shriners is a health-care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding teaching programs for medical professionals. Children up to age 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of ability to pay.
To benefit the hospitals, Mills will perform songs from her numerous hit albums at the concert which will also feature a gourmet menu, Carter Estate Wines, New Year’s Eve party favors, fire dancers, snake charmers, a magic show and other entertainment.
Brazilian recording artist Sambaguru and Latin sensation Son Mayer, will also perform in the Grand Ballroom of South Coast Winery in Temecula on Dec. 31.
