Knox, who began his career with the district in 1951, retired after more 58 years. Knox served as a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent of former administrative areas 9, 8 and K. The school, located at 90th and Main streets, will be known as Dr. Owen Lloyd Knox Elementary School.
