Compton, CA — A massive repaving project, 1,266,000 square feet of asphalt, is planned for the Compton/Woodley Airport. Federal stimulus finds will pay for the $8 million job.
Everything but the runways and taxiways will be resurfaced to improve drainage and pavement markings.
The project is expected to generate 222 construction and service jobs. Timelines have not been announced.
