Los Angeles, CA — The Employment Development Department (EDD) has announced extended services to include phone availability on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
EDD has also increased its staff by 400 employees, to better meet the needs of the record numbers of unemployed, 10.9% in February in Los Angeles County.
According to the EDD, Californians are currently receiving a total of $77 million a day in regular unemployment insurance and federal extension benefits.
