The AARP Tax-Aide program is administered by the AARP Foundation. The persons providing assistance are IRS certified volunteers. They provide free tax counseling and preparation services to millions of low- and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older.
Before visiting a site, call to make an appointment, and please bring with you:
* Copy of last year’s return,
* Proof of ID,
* All forms, such as W-2, 1098 and 1099s,
* Information about other sources of income,
* ID number for child care provider,
* Information about deductions/credits,
* Proof of account for direct deposit like a void check and
* SS card or ITIN cards for you, spouse, and dependents.
Assistance at these sites is only available through April 15. All sites require appointments.
