Los Angeles, CA – Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) will hold a 2009 National Scholarship Competition for high school seniors as well as recent graduates who have already received college credit.

Students who are interested in interior design, graphic design, fashion design, visual design and digital media can enter the contest, and are required to submit a project reflecting their area of interest.

According to the Web site this year’s judges will select a winner from each category based on their level of creativity, thoughtfulness, presentation, and promise in the entrants’ project.

Each applicant who is selected will receive a full one-year scholarship to attend FIDM.

All potential applicants are encouraged to complete a request form to obtain more information about the scholarship guidelines by going to the Web site at http://fidm.edu/about/scholarship-competition/index.html. All the details including the entry form will be mailed to each applicant. The deadline to submit completed projects is April 30.

FIDM is a co-educational, specialized, private college dedicated to educating students for the fashion, graphics, interior design and entertainment industries.
