There’s something for everyone when Hollywood Park’s autumn racing season opens on Oct. 29 with a schedule jam packed with great racing, fantastic giveaways, handicapping contests, and three great evenings of Friday night racing with live concerts.
To celebrate the opening weekend, on Saturday Nov. 1, fans in attendance will receive a 70th Anniversary Edition Coffee Mug set, free with paid admission, while supplies last.
What’s more, a day at Hollywood Park remains a tremendous sporting event and entertainment value. General Admission is only $7–a better value than going to the movies. Club House admission is only $10, or you can spend a day in the legendary Hollywood Park Turf Club for an admission price of only $20. You don’t have to pay extra for general parking or a program-they are included with the price of admission. Children 17 and under are always free when accompanied by an adult.
The first of three special Friday nights of racing starts Nov. 7. Popular Friday night specials include $1 draft beers until 9 p.m., $1 sodas and $1 hotdogs all night long. Stick around after the races and catch Super Diamond in concert in the Ascot Terrace. The concert is free with Club House admission. The next two Friday concerts feature Berlin on Nov. 14 and English Beat on Nov. 21.
The Hollywood Park Autumn Meet is known for world-class turf racing, offering the nation’s finest late-season grass racing annually during the Turf Festival held on Thanksgiving weekend. In addition, racing fans can preview the stars of tomorrow in a series of races for 2 year olds, culminating in the richest race of the meet the $750,000 CashCall Futurity on Saturday, Dec. 20. In fact, six graduates from the Futurity have gone on to win the Kentucky Derby, including Giacomo (2005), Gato Del Sol (1982), Ferdinand (1986), Alysheba (1987), Thunder Gulch (1995) and Real Quiet (1998).
