Brookins AME to host Fakhrucdeen Hussain

Attorney Fakhrudeen Hussain will speak on immigration law and naturalization on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m., at the Mesereau-Ephriam-Villaraigosa (MEV) Free Legal Clinic, announced Rev. Dr. Frederick O. Murph, executive director. The clinic is located in the Brookins Community Development Center, 1900 West 48th St. in Los Angeles.
Hussain, a recognized expert in all areas of immigration law, represents foreign nationals desiring work in the United States with employment based visas, such as EB5 Investor Green Cards. He also represents immigrants who wish to obtain Lawful Permanent Resident status through family-based immigration including waivers, foreign adoptions and citizenships.
A native of Sri Lankan, Hussain received his bachelor’s degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon; his M.B.A. from National University, and his J.D. degree from Abraham Lincoln University. Also, he is fluent in the Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, Sinhala, and Tamil languages.
Hussain holds memberships in the California Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association and American Immigration Lawyers Association. In addition, he volunteers at the Neighborhood Legal Services and the MEV Free Legal Clinic.
The MEV Free Legal Clinic, named for Attorney Tom Mesereau, Judge Mablean Ephraim, and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality legal services in South Los Angeles.
