2008 Brazilian Summer Festival

Brazilian Nites Productions presents its 15th annual Brazilian Summer Festival at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, on Sunday, July 13.
Opening the event is the bateria (drums) of Dodo’s Master Show who brings different percussive beats with rich, and varied rhythms, such as samba, funk and hip hop with their astonishing dancers that add colorful and vibrant choreographies to the mix. The audience is welcome to join in and dance. Followed by Mestre Amen’s Capoeira Batuque demonstrating the martial arts dance from Bahia and the Maculele. Ki-Xego Forró Band opens for Grupo Revelacao with rhythms from the Northeast of Brazil, Forró, Xote, Xaxado and Baiao.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for booths of arts and crafts, delicious and authentic Brazilian food and appetizers and music from Brazilian DJs.
