Local job fair announced

Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), in partnership with Jobing.com and USC Football Coach Pete Carroll’s nonprofit organization “A Better LA,” will hold a Watts Community Career Fair hosted by the LAUSD Division of Adult and Career Education on Friday, June 13, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The LAUSD Classified Recruitment Branch will be on hand at the fair recruiting for custodial, maintenance and operations, food service, transportation, and office technician positions. The LAUSD will provide information on construction jobs and training through the “We-Build” program.
LAUSD is the second largest school district in the nation, with nearly 700,000 students. LAUSD is also currently carrying out the largest school construction program in the nation. The Watts Community Career Fair is a forum for the public to connect with LAUSD’s ongoing job opportunities and understand the application process.
Other agencies joining LAUSD’s recruitment efforts at the fair include: California Conservation Corps, Los Angeles World Airports, Human Potential Consultants LLC, Ironworkers Local 416, Los Angeles Police Department, Plumbers Local 78 and many others.
The job fair will be held at the Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center, 10925 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90059.
