Wilkins was one of 16 students chosen as a finalist in eight different categories, and got the winning nod at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion last Saturday during the yearly awards ceremony. Wilkins is a member of the vocal jazz and chamber singers ensembles at his school. He said his love of music comes from his parents–composer and vocalist Anthony Wilkins, and vocalist Jeralynthia Banks.
