‘Seussical’ musical extravaganza coming to Palmdale Playhouse

The fantastic world of Dr. Seuss

The Palmdale Playhouse, in collaboration with Palmdale Repertory Theatre, has announced the upcoming production of “Seussical” a whimsical journey into the fantastical world of Dr. Seuss. Performances will take place at 7 p.m. March 8 and 15, 1 and 7 p.m. (respectively) on March 9 and 16, and at 1 p.m. (respectively) on March 10 and 17.

“Seussical,” with music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, brings to life the beloved characters of Dr. Seuss in an unforgettable theatrical experience. Join the mischievous Cat in the Hat as he guides audiences through the heartwarming tale of Horton the Elephant, who embarks on a remarkable adventure to protect the tiny community of Whos living on a speck of dust. Along the way, Horton encounters challenges, dangers and unexpected friendships that will inspire audiences of all ages.

This enchanting production is co-conceived by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty and Eric Idle, and is based on the cherished works of Dr. Seuss. Audiences can expect a captivating blend of storytelling, music and visual spectacle that captures the essence of Dr. Seuss’s imagination.

Tickets, priced at $22 for adults and $17 for seniors, students, military and children 12 years and under, can be purchased online at www.PalmdalePlayhouse.com or at the box office located at 38334 10th St. East, in Palmdale.

In addition to the performances, there will be a special Character Meet and Greet following the 1 p.m. shows on Saturdays and Sundays, providing an opportunity for audiences to mingle with their favorite characters from the show.
