Ingrid Merriwether, at the podium, the CEO of Merriwether & Williams Insurance Services (MWIS), received the Paul Williams Lifetime Achievement Award from the Airport Minority Advisory Council – Los Angeles Chapter (AMAC LA) at its Business Diversity Event in LA on Nov. 15, 2023. The award was bestowed on Merriwether by Amber Meshack, AMAC LA’s vice president of programs, shown on stage to the right, who said the award “celebrates the enduring legacy of a distinguished individual who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in their respective field.” For more than 25 years, Merriwether has dedicated her life to assisting small, local, and diverse construction contractors in accessing government infrastructure contracts through MWIS’s signature Contractor Development and Bonding Programs (CDBP), which it administers locally for the City of Los Angeles, LA Metro, and the County of Los Angeles.
