Access to Affordable Banking Products and Services

On Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at 10 a.m. P.T. to 1 p.m. in Los Angeles, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), the top Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee, will host a town hall at Inglewood High School Auditorium ( 231 S. Grevillea Ave) on access to banking products and services.

This town hall will consist of three panels featuring the Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Rohit Chopra; several senior bank executives; and local stakeholders. The other panelists include Ms. Colleen Canny, Executive Vice President and National Head of Branch Banking, at Wells Fargo, Mr. David Cameron, Executive Vice President of Personal and business Banking, at City National Bank, and Mr. Jeffrey Martinez, Executive Vice President and Head of Branch Banking, PNC Bank.

During the town hall, community members will hear from panelists and get the opportunity to ask questions about access to mortgage loans, small business loans, and other banking products and services, as well as consumer protections and resources available to consumers when they have a question or problem with a financial product or service.

The town hall meeting is open to the public.
