After the hurricane, there is the wreckage. Well fortunately for the city of Los Angeles, there wasn’t too much major damage. Drinking water contamination has been a topic of concern for many Los Angeles residents. Ocean and beach water has been another major concern. An Ocean Water Quality Rain Advisory has been declared for all Los Angeles County Beaches. Swimmers, surfers, and all water sports and activities should be avoided for the next 72 hours--which is standard after a major rainfall.

This advisory will remain in effect until Thursday at 9:00 A.M. The advisory can be extended depending on the weather forecast and rainfall.  Bacteria and ocean debris can cause illness, and contamination, consisting of debris and excess runoff. Please exercise caution until further notice.
