Toddler Storytime on Wednesdays

A variety of free events and activities are planned for the Palmdale City Library, starting with weekly in-person Storytime through Sept. 20. Bilingual Storytime will be held on Tuesdays from 10 to 10:30 a.m; Toddler Storytime on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10 a.m; and Preschool Storytime on Wednesdays, 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Each Storytime is full of interactive reading, songs, rhymes, and movement, all of which develop the early literacy skills needed for kindergarten and beyond, as well as guidance and instruction on how to model and practice literacy skills in the home for the entire family. No registration is required.

Join us on the second Tuesday of the month for Adult Coffee and Coloring at 10 am. Enjoy a fun and unique way to unwind and express creativity. The library is now serving coffee! You may stay, color, and drink your coffee, or take it to go.

Our Silent Book Club meets on the third Tuesday every month from 6 to 7 pm. Participants read a book of their choice for 30 minutes, then share what they read during a 30-minute group session.

Does your family love dogs? Visit the Library on the last Tuesday of the month for Books and Barks from 3:30 to 5 pm and read to friendly dogs from the High Desert Obedience Club. Therapy dogs can help kids build confidence and improve their reading skills.

Enjoy after-hours fun during Game Night at the Library on Friday, Aug. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. Select a game to play with your family or take a turn at karaoke. Regular Library services will not be available.

The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
