The heavily outfitted “Grooves on the Move” bus, a state-of-the-art recording arts studio on wheels, has found a new home at the Crenshaw Christian Center’s Frederick K.C. Price III Schools. The bus was donated to the Price schools by West L.A. Music owner Don Griffin, the Village Recorder owner Jeff Greenberg and criminologist Sheila Balkan, who created the Grooves on the Move program. The program’s purpose was to expose inner-city youth, ages 14 to 20, to various careers in the entertainment industry, including music, music production and audio recording.
