Lancaster cooling center is open

The ongoing heatwave has compelled the cooling center at the Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) to remain open through the end of the month. City officials encourage residents to take proper precautions during intense heat events, therefore the cooling center on the first floor of the facility, located at 665 W. Lancaster Blvd., will operate from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Wednesday, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancaster Public Library, 601 W. Lancaster Blvd., also serves as a cooling center and is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
