As more information and videos are released related to the siege on our nation’s capitol by Trump followers, a video of a Black cop leading rioters in the wrong direction has emerged.
Eugene Goodman is seen leading – or misleading as the case may be – an angry mob in the wrong direction away from Senate chambers. Not only did he bait them away from a key door, he did not use his gun.
In the video, during the confrontation, Goodman puts himself between a man wearing a black T-shirt for the QAnon conspiracy movement and a hallway leading to the Senate chambers, then shoves the person to induce him and the crowd to chase Goodman toward officers in the opposite direction.
According to CNN, the man leading that mob has been identified and arrested, charged with five federal charges. He could get 20 years in prison.
