Step up, step down and ride on over to the Santa Clarita Bike Park to practice jumps, explore trails and more. The Santa Clarita City Council cut the ribbon this morning, and the City of Santa Clarita’s newest amenity is now officially open to the public.

Over the past few weeks, crews have been hard at work grading land and building the banks and jumps that comprise the park. Now is your opportunity to see all there is to discover at the Santa Clarita Bike Park, which is located among the hills at the top of the George A. Caravalho Santa Clarita Sports Complex (20870 Centre Pointe Parkway), near the outdoor basketball court.

The Bike Park offers riders approximately seven acres to ride, practice jumps and develop skills for both BMX and mountain biking. The park was designed with riders of all ages and skill levels in mind and consists of several single-track mountain bike trails that range from easy to moderate difficulty. There are also approximately 330 yards of track featuring combination jumps, including step-ups, step-downs, rollers and tabletops.

While BMX riders have enjoyed the amenities available at the Santa Clarita Skate Park and mountain bikers have explored the city’s open space trails, the new Santa Clarita Bike Park offers training and development opportunities made specifically for bikes. As BMX and mountain biking are individual sports, there will not be a maximum capacity for riders at the park. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk.
