Three AVC employees have tested positive for COVID-19. This information was confirmed by the college on Monday, June 29. The affected individuals were last known to be on the Lancaster campus between Monday, June 22, and Thursday, June 25. To maintain privacy, no information that could serve to identify the individuals, including work locationswas shared.

Campus officials have said its office of Human Resources is coordinating with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to notify employees who have been in direct contact with the affected individuals.

Due to three confirmed COVID-19 cases, there will be no student, employee or public access to the Lancaster and Palmdale campuses through July 15. Please do not visit either campus unless it is absolutely necessary and approved by your supervisor. Supervisors are required to notify maintenance and security in advance of any employee coming to campus for any reason.

Employees are currently working remotely due to the campus being inaccessible through July 15. When calling the mainline (661) 722-6300), press 1 to select the appropriate department for your needs. You may press 4 to reach the Palmdale Center.

If leaving a voicemail, it will be routed via email to the appropriate person for follow up.
