Church sets annual revival and Black history dialogue

The Growing Valley Baptist Church, 44818 20th Street West, in Lancaster, will present Feb. 17-20 the “72nd Church Anniversary Revival.”

Under the theme “Connecting Every Generation to Christ and His Church,” prayer vigils will begin each evening at 6:30 p.m., with worship services beginning at 7 p.m. Be there for special messages from Bishop Dr. Louis Felton of Mt. Airy Church of God in Christ in Philadelphia, Pa., and also from Pastor Jacob D.R. Johnson.

On Feb. 23 at 4 p.m., the church will present “Digging the Wells of Old, Preparing to Dig Afresh” as part of its annual community Black History Month dialogue. Pastor Johnson will also speak at this event, along with Dr. Riggins R. Earl Jr, professor of Ethics and Theology at ITC in Atlanta, Ga.
