Right now, the Supreme Court is hearing a case that could determine the fate of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and health care coverage for millions of Americans — including 12.4 million Californians.

This case is Donald Trump’s last desperate attempt to dismantle the ACA. We won’t stand by and allow him to rob Americans of affordable care.

Health care is a human right. We can defend affordable health care right now for countless Americans, with your help:

Join me in calling on the Senate to vote on the House’s legislation that will strengthen and expand upon the ACA, shore up the Medicaid program, and lower prescription drug prices. The Senate can secure health care for millions if Republicans choose to act, so add your name now.

As a former Physician Assistant, I saw firsthand how people from all walks of life and backgrounds struggled to secure basic health care. High costs repeatedly keep folks from pursuing the care they need, and often treatable conditions like hypertension and diabetes become much worse.

These disparities in health care access hit Black and brown communities the hardest. Right now, our communities are disproportionately affected by COVID-19 and are being diagnosed at higher rates and are more likely to be hospitalized for, and die from, the disease.

In the middle of a global pandemic, we need affordable care more than ever before. I have voted more than 50 times against Republican attempts to repeal or undermine the ACA. I won’t stop fighting to defend affordable care from senseless and dangerous attacks.

It’s WAY past time the Senate does the right thing and defends affordable health care. If you agree, please add your name.
