It might finally get a little cooler at night, but Halloween will still be hot. The MAIN will host a variety of films, theater, comedy, and music shows, with tickets on sale now. Adult beverages will also be available for purchase at select shows, in addition to concessions.

This month’s theatre production is “The Diary of Anne Frank,” presented by Bridgeway Theatre Company. The play tells the story of Anne Frank’s diary, where she recorded the trials and tribulations experienced by the families, as well as Anne’s own coming of age in a tiny room surrounded by frustration, selfishness, and a heaping dose of fear. The next performances will occur on October 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. The tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for students, seniors, and military members.

On Thursday, October 24 “Note by Note,” a free music night will take place at 7 p.m., and delight audiences with a variety of genres. Bands, duos, and soloists will perform a wide range of styles, including rock, folk, Celtic, Americana, blues, jazz, country, experimental, western and more. This month, “The New Mexican”, a one-man band, will perform and play a blend of country blues that will feature a banjo, harmonica, guitar, and percussion.

And last but not least, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show; Let’s do the Time Warp again!” The perfect way to dive into the Halloween festivities, with two screenings of this musical, science fiction, comedy horror film – this is the only opportunity to see the screenings in the Santa Clarita Valley. Guests may bring props or purchase a pre-made prop bag at the door for $5. Costumes are encouraged, but not mandatory. Showings occur on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26 at 11:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 presale and $15 on the day of the show.

The MAIN is located at 24266 Main Street in Old Town Newhall.
