Homes 4 Families (H4F) hosted its fourth Celebs4Vets Build at the Veteran Enriched Neighborhood in Palmdale on Oct. 5. The Los Angeles-based nonprofit empowers low-income veterans and their families to enter the middle class by providing them with affordable housing and holistic services that build resiliency, self-sufficiency and economic growth.

More than 30 celebrities and other entertainment industry professionals picked up hammers and paint brushes and poured concrete to build homes, including stars from “Young Sheldon,” “Star Trek: Picard,” “The Conners,” “VEEP” and many other shows.

Celebs4Vets is a membership-based group comprised of representatives of the entertainment industry who subscribe to the Homes 4 Families mission and lend their support by participating in H4F activities, events, and programs. The Celebs4Vets Build provided members with the opportunity to help build the organization’s third Veteran Enriched Neighborhood, a 56-home community in Palmdale.

Celebrities rolled up their sleeves to spend the day building fencing and a block wall that surrounds the community, while also calling upon their fans to sponsor their efforts, raising money for their building supplies and materials.

“Our Celebs4Vets members continue to impress us with their enthusiasm, strength, and passion for helping these deserving low-income military families,” said Donna Deutchman, president and CEO of  Homes 4 Families. “This is far from a photo-op for them; all of our members put in a full day of hard work mixing concrete, lifting cinder blocks, and working together towards a greater goal.”

The participants included: Gary Cole (“VEEP,” “Mixed-ish”); Lennon Parham (“VEEP,” “Schooled”); John Ross Bowie (“The Big Bang Theory,” “Speechless”); Lance Barber, Raegan Revord, Montana Jordan and Doc Farrow (“Young Sheldon”); Jeri Ryan and Jonathan Del Arco (“Star Trek: Picard”); Sheaun McKinney (“The Neighborhood”); Judd Lormand (“SEAL Team”); Grace Kaufman (“Man with a Plan”) and Meg Donnelly (“American Housewife”).

Also participating were Michael Fishman (“The Conners”); Maya Lynne Robinson (“The Conners,” “The Unicorn”); Simone Missick and Jessica Camacho (“All Rise”); Keesha Sharp, Johnathan Fernandez and Chandler Kinney (“Lethal Weapon”); Phillip P. Keene (“Major Crimes”); Shanola Hampton (“Shameless”); Brett Dalton (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”); Brad Sharp (Singer, actor, songwriter); Amarr M. Wooten (“Knight Squad”); Carmen Cusack (“Sorry for Your Loss”); Paul Telfer (“Days of Our Lives”); Jalyn Hall (“All American”); Ashley Mae Sebera (“WWE”); Cliffton Hall (actor and writer); Al Coronel (“The Last Ship”), and Hunter Burke (“Claws”).
