D.A. says While fans and friends have been mourning the tragic shooting death of artist and community activist Nipsey Hussle, lawmakers have been investigating the motive of the shooter, Eric Holder, reports Variety.

Grand jury documents that were released on June 27 say that the renowned rapper was shot to death after getting into an argument with Holder over snitching. A judge ordered the grand jury transcripts released after the Los Angeles Times filed a motion for their release. The suspect, 29-year-old Eric Holder, has been indicted on charges of murder and attempted murder. He is being held on $6.5 million bond.

Holder allegedly shot Hussle on March 31 in the parking lot outside of Hussle’s retail store at the corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue. According to the New York Times, Holder and Hussle had a conversation that was not heated at first. But then Holder left and returned with two guns and opened fire on Hussle, who died at a nearby hospital a short time later.
