Deputies in Volusia Country, Florida arrested a woman by the name of Julie Edwards last week under suspicion of drunk driving. But her drunk driving charge has turned into the least of her worries. According to WAFB-TV, she’s facing more charges, these for making threats against the Black deputy who busted her. Investigators say Edwards to Deputy Brandon King that the KKK would burn crosses on his lawn. She reportedly told King that she hoped to find him on a corner alone and that Black people show never have been freed from slavery. Sheriff Mike Chitwood showed a video during a press conference, instructing reporters, “Watch this video if you think there is no expiration date on ignorance.” The woman, 54, also said she would sue the law enforcement agency in order to get King fired, and she also referred to him as “boy.”
