The Hammer Museum at UCLA recently announced the naming of Larry Jackson to its Board of Directors. Jackson is an influential music industry executive who currently serves as global creative director at Apple Music.

The Board of Directors is the museum’s governing body; the addition of Jackson brings the number of board members to 22.

Grammy award-winning Jackson has signed key marketing and content deals with Drake, Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled, Future, Travis Scott and The Weeknd, among others.

Since helping to launch Apple Music four years ago, Jackson has played a large role in the creative direction of this fastest-growing entertainment subscription service.

Jackson started his career as one of the youngest music directors in radio history at KMEL-FM in San Francisco. He then joined Clive Davis at RCA Music Group. Later he joined Jimmy Iovine at Interscope. They banded together with Trent Reznor at Beats Music, which was acquired by Apple.
