Numerous sources are reporting that rapper Kodak Black was arrested along the U.S. Canadian border with guns and contraband in hid possession. According to Page Six, he shielded his face with money after he made bail following his arrest on drug and weapons charges while crossing the U.S.-Canada border – a snafu he blamed on his GPS, a report said.

Black, 21, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was with three other men trying to get into the U.S. from Canada Wednesday when authorities held them at the border for drug and weapon possession. The rapper, who was at the wheel of the Cadillac Escalade, was found with marijuana, and officers discovered a Glock 9mm pistol that he did not declare inside the vehicle. He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana, authorities said.

He was taken to the Niagara County Jail, where bail was set at $40,000 or $20,000 cash, WKBW Buffalo reported. Black was released on Thursday, and used a wad of cash as a shield from TV cameras and other bystanders who tried to talk to him, video shot by the station shows. “No comment,” he responded when a reporter asked him where he was going Wednesday night.

Black blamed the entire incident on his GPS, sources told TMZ. He said he had intended to drive from Detroit to Boston, and the device directed him to drive through Canada, New York and then into Massachusetts. But as he crossed into the Great White North, he had no idea that he was leaving the U.S., the outlet reported. Stetson President, 24, and Madarrow Smith, 20, who were in the car with Black Wednesday, were also arrested on weapons charges, WKBW reported.

Jeantony Saintmelus, 22, also part of the group, was traveling in another car – and declared two loaded handguns, but declined to mention a third that authorities found in the trunk, according to the report. Police, who also reportedly found marijuana in the car, arrested Saintmelus, the station reported. As of Thursday evening, they remained in jail, local station WIVB 4 reported.
