Carson confab tackles youth issues

The city of Carson will present on May 26 a free conference for men between the ages of 13 to 25 years scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald Community Center, 801 E. Carson Street, in Carson.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided for the first 100 participants registered through Eventbrite: https://citycarson-realmentalk18.eventbrite.com.  Topics of the conference include job readiness, drug and gang prevention, fatherhood, and marijuana and the law, to name a few.

“On behalf of a grateful City, we give special thanks to Councilmember Cedric L. Hicks, Sr. for his leadership in bringing this important conference back to the Carson community,” said City of Carson Mayor Albert Robles.

The conference also offers a resource fair as well as speakers from all walks of life that range from church leaders, law enforcement, and sports and media figures.
