Atlanta resident and rapper T.I. was arrested early Wednesday morning after a situation with the security guard at the gated community that he lives in escalated dramatically. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., is facing a number of charges, including simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness and was arrested. He was bailed out within hours. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, T.I. attempted to enter the community through the security gate without his card. He asked the guard to let him because he said the guard should have recognized him. T.I. called a friend who reportedly had access to the community, and when he arrived an argument took place with the guard. Eventually, the guard let T.I. in, but the returned shortly thereafter and that’s when police were called, and T.I. was arrested. A statement came later from T.I.’s publicist, saying that T.I.’s wife was on the phone with the guard telling him to let her husband in, but the guard refused.
