Compton College’s Childhood Education Program, in partnership with the TEACH Los Angeles Regional Collaborative, will host from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 25 an Early Childhood Education/STEM Conference. The conference is open to students, faculty, and aspiring teachers, and will take place at Compton College, 1111 E. Artesia Blvd., in Compton.

Join us for interactive sessions and workshops dedicated to increasing the awareness of the importance of introducing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education during early childhood. Early familiarity with STEM concepts and exposure to quality, hands-on STEM learning opportunities can be key predictors of a child’s success in school. Participants will receive a professional growth certificate upon completion of the workshops during the conference.
