A man in Las Vegas accused of robbing a bank tried to disguise himself by wearing blackface. However, bank personnel said they noticed his skin color was not natural. Cameron James Kennedy, 26, was captured and charged in federal court with interference with commerce by robbery after he reportedly stole more than $23,000 from a casino cage at the New York New York Hotel. Kennedy was already under federal supervision from an attempted robber, but he had cut off his tracking device just hours before the latest attempt. According to the Las Vegas Sun, Kennedy allegedly covered his face with black makeup before the robbery, but the casino cashier told authorities she thought the suspect was white because his skin tone appeared irregular and blotchy. Kennedy could get up to 20 years in prison with a $250,000 fine if found guilty. Police captured Kennedy about a week after the robbery after they received an anonymous tip.
