A host of Los Angeles dignitaries will be on hand tomorrow at 10 a.m. for the groundbreaking of The Curve @ West Angeles, South LA’s newest affordable housing community on Crenshaw Boulevard.

Developed in co-partnership by Related California and West Angeles Community Development Corporation (WACDC), the mixed-use development will feature 70 apartments for low- and very-low-income seniors to include 2,000 square feet of retail space serving the Crenshaw Corridor. There will be an on-site social services office to provide residents with an opportunity to host events and schedule field trips.

The Curve @ West Angeles will occupy a 52-acre site near 54th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard and will be within walking distance to the future Hyde Park stop of the Metro Crenshaw/LAX line.

Expected to attend are Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, Bishop Charles E. Blake of West Angeles Church of God in Christ, Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer, Related California CEO Bill White, and Belinda Allen, executive director of the WACDC.
