The Palmdale City Library, 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., concludes its summer movie series this afternoon at 1 p.m. with a showing of “Ratatouille.”

A Pixar animation, “Ratatouille” is the story of Remy the rat, who dreams of becoming a great chef, despite being a rat in a definitely rodent-phobic profession. He moves to Paris to follow his dream, and with the help of hapless garbage boy Linguini he puts his culinary skills to the test in the kitchen but he has to stay in hiding at the same time, with hilarious consequences.

This event is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Palmdale City Library.

The Palmdale City Library is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

For more information, call the library at (661) 267-5600, TDD 267-5167, or visit www.cityofpalmdale.org/library.
