Black female ESPN anchor Jemele Hill, who sparked controversy last year when she made comments on President Donald Trump on her personal social media, is leaving as co-host of the sports news network’s popular “SportsCenter.” Hill will remain in the Disney/ABC/Viacom family and will reportedly be working on other assignments away from “SportsCenter.” Variety is reporting that Hill requested the change, and it shouldn’t be seen as punishment for the social media comments against President Trump. Her co-anchor, Michael Smith, will remain in position and for the time being host SC himself.
