In celebration of Valentine’s Day, treat that special someone in your life to Don Friesen’s “Laughs for Lovers” comedy show on Saturday at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center.

In “Laughs for Lovers,” comedian Don Friesen takes a satirical look at being a modern day suburban dad, as he captures the irony of parenting, marriage, and everyday absurdities through characterization, parodies, and comic spoofs regarding relationships. He talks about balancing work and home, playing second fiddle to his only boss (his wife), all while trying to raise children, and get through the day with a bit of money in the bank and a scrap of dignity intact. This high-energy family comedy show is a treat for audiences of all ages, and perfect for a Valentine’s date night.

Friesen is the only two-time winner of the San Francisco Comedy Competition (other winners include comedy icons Dana Carvey and Robin Williams), has hosted his own Showtime comedy special, and was recognized as one of the top ten comics to watch in 2017.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show are $26 and $21 and may be purchased online at www.LPAC.org,  or by phone at (661) 723-5950.
