See ‘Wonder’ Wednesday at library

The Palmdale City Library, 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., will host a showing of the 2017 motion picture “Wonder” (PG-13)  at 6 p.m. April 18 as part of its Mid-Week Movie program. Admission and popcorn are free.

Based on the New York Times bestseller, “Wonder” tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters 5th grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time. His extraordinary journey unites his family, his school, and his community, and proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out. Starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Jacob Tremblay and Izabela Vidovic.

The Library hosts a free showing of featured films every Wednesday evening. The next scheduled to be shown is “The Bl;ind Side” (2009) rated PG-13 on April 25. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Palmdale City Library.

The Palmdale City Library is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
