The Palmdale City Library’s Classics Book Club will discuss the book “Point Counter Point” by Aldous Huxley, Monday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m., at the library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd.

Considered to be Huxley’s most ambitious and complex work, “Point Counter Point” offers a vision of life from a number of different points of view, using a large cast of characters who are compared to instruments in an orchestra, each playing his separate portion of the larger piece.

Copies of “Point Counter Point” are available for check out at the library. The Classics Book Club meets on the fourth Monday of every month from 7 to 8 p.m. New members are welcome to attend.

The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
