The city of Palmdale, in partnership with First 5 LA, Yes 2 Kids and Affirm, will present the Snow Daze Festival, on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Christ Church of the Valley, 2714 East Avenue R. The event is free and open to the public.
The Snow Daze Festival will feature family fun for everyone, and will include bouncers, snow and a snow slide, a petting zoo, free hot dogs for kids 12 years and under, face painting, food trucks, hourly prize giveaways and a special appearance from Santa Claus himself.
There will also be a one mile competitive race for adults and children, as well as a 5k Fun Run which will begin at 9 am. Participants of all ages will receive a medal. For more information on the races and the festival, e-mail snowdazefestival@gmail.com or call 661/947-9570.
