Three Chicago-based sister stations – urban WGCI-FM, urban AC V103 and Gospel 1390 – have partnered with Scott Joplin Elementary School on the south side of Chicago to support the Music in Schools program. As part of the stations’ commitment, a $1 of each ticket sold from concerts the stations are involved in will be donated to the school’s music program. In addition, the station recently launched a merchandise store with 100% of the net proceeds going to the schools music program. Merchandise items include branded hats, t-shirts and other apparel, reports AllAccess.
