Pastor Tony Yarber, who once served as major of Jackson, went into disciplinary mode after he caught a man attempting to break into and rob his truck. According to the Huffington Post, Yarber noticed a man outside of his house when he and his family were getting ready to go to church. He watched as the man, 22-year-old Juwuan Bibbs, began breaking into his truck. He got Bibbs in a headlock and dragged him into his garage while he called police. Bibbs started talking to Yarber and said something to the affect that he should let him go because he has a 2-month-old baby at home. Yarber responded by telling the would-be robber that his kids were right there in the house, and then he proceeded to grab a fraternity paddle and began spanking Bibbs with it until the cops arrived. “When you break in people’s stuff, it’s because somebody ain’t whooped your tail!” he shouted as he spanked Bibbs. Police have charged Bibbs with auto burglary and possession of marijuana.
