Dodger Stadium will play host to a two-day concert event featuring some of music’s biggest names this summer, highlighted by the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac, organizers announced this week.

The two-day event, dubbed The Classic West, will be duplicated on the East Coast two weeks later, with the same bands performing at CitiField in New York. The idea stems from the success of the last year’s “Desert Trip” music festival in Coachella which hosted Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Paul McCartney, Neil Young and Roger Waters.

On July 15, the concerts will begin with performances by the Eagles (“Hotel California, “One of These Nights,” “Heartache Tonight”), Steely Dan (“Do It Again,” “Peg,” “Hey Nineteen”) and The Doobie Brothers (“Listen to the Music,” “China Grove,” “What A Fool Believes”). The following night will feature performances by Fleetwood Mac (“Dreams,” “Gypsy,” “Little Lies”)  Journey  (“Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Lights,” “Who’s Crying Now”) and Earth, Wind and Fire (“Shining Star,” “Fantasy,” “Sing A Song.” Each of these groups have sold multi-platinum albums over the past four decades.Two-day ticket packages will go on sale April 7 at www.ticketmaster.com, although a pre-sale for American Express card holders will begin April 3. Prices were not immediately announced.
