Applications are being accepted for commercial vendors at the 26th Annual California Poppy Festival scheduled April 22-23 at Lancaster’s newly renamed Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park.

The Poppy Festival is a popular event known throughout the state for its broad array of entertainment and family fun. The poppies, of course, are the main attraction and should be in large supply after the February storms. Organizers would like to see a little more rain through mid April to showcase the maximum amount of blossoms. More than  400,000 visitors are expected this year.

Commercial vendors at the festival are exposed to thousands of prospective customers. A 10-foot by 10-foot vending booth is $650 for both days and includes a canopied tent with three sidewalls, an 8-foot table and two chairs. Spaces are limited.

For more details, call the Lancaster Parks, Recreation and Arts department at (661) 723-6077 or visit www.poppyfestival.com.
