Lancaster will host its annual summer day camp over eight, one-week sessions through August. The day camp is an opportunity for children 6 to 12 years to interact with other youngsters in a nurturing, wholesome environment.

Hours for the extended camp are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the core camp each taking place Monday through Friday. The cost is $165 except the week of July 3-7 (no program on July 4). Most activities will take place at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park, 43063 10th St. West.

Recreation leaders will work with separate groups of 15 children each and will introduce them to movies, arts and crafts, tournaments, team building games, weekly swimming trips and excursions.

For registration or more information, call the Lancaster Parks, Recreation and Arts Department at (661) 723-6077.
