MOAH sponsors art fair

The Lancaster Museum of Art History (MOAH) is partnering with a number of southland galleries in sponsorship of the stARTup Art Fair scheduled today through Sunday.

The event will take place a the Highland Gardens Hotel, 7047 Franklin Ave. in Hollywood, as 50 contemporary artists from throughout the nation display their works in three distinct exhibits. The art fair, scheduled from noon to 10 p.m. today, noon to 9 p.m. tomorrow, and from noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday, is said to be a “uniquely unfiltered” marketplace that will provide guests with a special look at fresh, new talent. There will be daily panel-led conversations, portfolio reviews of the artists, and special “Art Tarot” readings by Alexia Lewis.

Among the non-profit partners are MOAH, 18th Street Arts Center, the Tolerance Art Museum, POST, and Los Angeles Art Association. Advance tickets for adults are $15 ($20 at the door), and $10 (in advance) for seniors with ID ($15 at door). Children under 12 years are admitted free. Valet parking will be available.
