BUENA PARK (CNS) – Buena Park police today chased a suspected stolen vehicle from their city to Lynwood at high speeds, authorities said.

The pursuit started about 12:30 a.m. at Valley View Street and Orangethorpe Avenue, said Buena Park police Sgt. Michael Galos. Officers attempted to stop the suspected stolen vehicle but the driver sped away.

The high-speed pursuit lasted about 13 minutes and ended near Imperial Highway and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Lynwood when both the stolen vehicle and a police car crashed into parked cars, Galos said.

Two women and a man who were in the suspect vehicle were taken to hospitals with moderate injuries, he said. An officer suffered minor injuries and was treated at a hospital and released.

The investigation continued to determine what charges the suspects might face, Galos said.
