The deadline for applications to the Teen Exploring Technology Summer Coding Leadership Academy is Saturday, April 29. The program is open to young men of color seeking coding experience. The goal is to bring more diversity to the tech sector. About 75 percent of the students who go through the TXT program major in computer science.
The free, 12-week computer science and entrepreneurship program teaches young men of color (grades eight to eleven) how to use coding and entrepreneurship to solve community problems and develop into new leaders. Students will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet tech leaders in Silicon Valley and Silicon Beach.
